Make a card
Choose Blank 5×5 to fill squares by hand, or Custom and enter one square per line. A custom card needs 24 entries unless Repeat is enabled. The center is reserved for the free space. Commas inside a line stay with that entry.
Exact duplicate lines are removed by default after outer whitespace is trimmed. Keep duplicate lines preserves them and can produce visually identical squares. Typing does not shuffle; Shuffle changes the seed deliberately.
Worked example and batch limits
With 24 distinct entries, each custom card uses every entry once outside the free center. With one entry and Repeat, all 24 noncenter cells contain that entry and every card in the batch looks the same.
A batch holds up to 50 cards. Cards are generated with a versioned seed, not a guarantee of unique layouts. PNG downloads the selected card at 1500×1800 pixels. Print / Save as PDF prepares one whole card per page; use your browser’s print dialog. Long text may need shortening.
Images and sharing
A local PNG, JPEG or WebP image can fill the center. Files must be static, at most 5 MiB, at most 4096 pixels on either side and at most 8 million pixels total. Invalid replacement files leave the previous accepted image in place.
Copy share link deliberately includes the text, settings and seed in the URL fragment. Anyone with the link can read them. The local image is excluded and the shared card uses its text fallback. No automatic upload or save is performed.
Frequently asked questions
Can I print an empty card?
Yes. Choose Blank 5×5. Empty Custom text is not treated as a blank card.
Does editing shuffle the squares?
Editing text with the same number of entries keeps the arrangement. Use Shuffle card or Shuffle batch when you want a different arrangement.
Will every card be different?
No. Small pools and repeated entries can create identical layouts. The tool reports duplicates without retrying indefinitely.
Is the local image in a share link?
No. The link includes text and settings only. Download a PNG or print the card if you need the image.
Is Save as PDF a generated download?
It uses your browser’s print dialog. Choose Save as PDF there; the tool does not provide a separate generated PDF download.
